Yoga Nidra Mentoring & Support

Monthly community events to inspire and energise your teaching & practice

Welcome, Yoga Nidra facilitator!

Thanks for joining this ongoing, monthly resource, designed to foster community, support you in your teaching and connect you to resources to help you learn and grow as a teacher.

We will meet on the first Monday of each month, and the third Friday of each month at 7pm GMT. Recordings of the meetings will be posted here for you to review.

What you’ll find here

The first Monday of the month will explore teaching themes, and offer you the chance to bring your questions and reflections.

The third Friday of each month will offer the chance for you to practice teaching with peers, with a special focus on co-meditation.

Here’s the zoom link for these sessions (you might want to copy this link and have it somewhere easily to hand, to save you having to log-on to this resource each time you join the meeting):

What are ‘teaching themes’?

This is the exploration of a particular topic, related to teaching and sharing the practice of Yoga Nidra. Themes could be focused on how to teach (language, introducing concepts etc) or on the structure of Yoga Nidra (the Koshas, different traditions, working with opposites).

What is Co-meditation?

If you work with groups or individuals, you’ll need good listening skills. Co-meditation is the simple yet profound act of deep listening and asking open, facilitative questions. Understanding another’s struggle or pain is an essential aspect of becoming a good facilitator, and we will introduce you to - or help you deepen - this skillset.

How you can support this group

As this new offering is launched, it felt important to offer this for free. However, there are costs associated to setting up the tech, and running the area in terms of time and resources and facilitators’ efforts.

it will become clear over the next couple of months as to how we’ll run the group, and fund the group. For now, if you’d like to make a donation to support this work (suggested £10.00 low income/ £20.00 higher income to cover us until the end of 2022) then you can do so either via Paypal, or as a direct bank transfer. (Bank charges for international payments may mean that Paypal is a better option for those of you overseas from the UK)
