Roadblocks To Rest

We may desire to rest deeply, but life can often get in the way. Often we find ourselves too busy, preoccupied, or even - amidst our day - forget our intentions of self-care. These sessions are designed to help you break through unconscious patterns that may derail your attempts to feel at ease in life.


Session 1: Are You Worth It? (4 Oct)

Amidst all of the roles and responsibilities we carry and hold, it is famously hard to carve out time for self care. Yet, some people manage it, so why don’t you? Explore your values, desires and motivations for self care, and learn to prioritise your own needs. Break down the walls - there’s a comfy bed on the other side with your name on it….

A great question to ask oneself is, “what is worth doing and having”? We do have time for rest if we’d only allow ourselves. Getting past the idea that there’s something more fruitful to do with our time is highly valuable. Life is short - 4,000 weeks, to be precise - so do what matters, and what helps you to feel at ease and appreciate life.

Session 3 - Ditch The Guilt (18 Oct)

Doing nothing and resting get a lot of social pushback. It can be considered lazy or idol to kick back and find ease amidst life, especially when it seems like everybody else is having a better/fuller/richer experience than you. The truth is, being well rested and at ease will bring you that sense of being full and complete, faster than anything else!

Session 4 - The Deepest Rest (25 Oct)

Having broken through guilt, fear of missing out, and addiction to wanting more, we can rest deeply and completely. Make some solid intentions for rest that will last you a lifetime, and then lay down and let it all hang loose.
